Hi everybody!
Welcome to Money Mondays. This is a weekly post to explore how Self-forgiveness can assist you in releasing old stories about money and stepping into greater financial freedom. I’m offering an online group in May on “Self-Forgiveness and Money”, so this is a great forum to play with techniques that we’ll use in the group—and hopefully, you’ll find tools to use in your own lives.
As part of the group, we’ll be choosing a financial project to complete over the 3 months. So for this Money Mondays, let’s talk about creating a project that has heart for you! Here are a few questions for you:
What is one thing you’d really like to change re: your current relationship with money? (i.e., what do you want to be different?)
What is a project you could do over the next 3 months to make positive change?
What blocks you from doing this?
I encourage you to sit with yourself this week and journal your responses to the questions above. Acknowledge yourself for slowing down and becoming more aware of what you want around money—and what may block you from that. Share what you learned with me if you want to!
When you simply look at what you want, transformation can occur. For example, I have been racking my brains (truly!) for my own financial project. This week, it came in clear as a bell.
I’m leaving my part-time staff position at the spiritual organization I’ve worked at for over 10 years. I’m ready to go into coaching full-time. This is my project for “Self-Forgiveness and Money”, so I get to practice — and discover — tools for my upcoming group as I make the transition.
I’ve been considering this for quite some time. Much as this work has been a service of love, it’s now become a safety net for me. And, it’s time to take the leap.
As I stood up to talk with my supervisor, I felt peaceful, centered, and clear. And, I felt divinely supported (which is important for me).
My next step is to create an action plan over the next 3 months to expand my coaching practice. This includes outer actions, such as getting really transparent with my money and what I need to make to support myself. It also includes inner actions, like focusing on a positive quality (e.g., acceptance, freedom, etc.) I’d like to experience more of.
Here’s a key part of that plan—to ask myself, what blocks stand in the way of me doing this project? And to create a support steps to ACCEPT them, and practice Self-forgiveness to release the limiting beliefs underlying it all.
THAT is one of the incredible gems of pairing Self-forgiveness with money!
This project is much larger than money.
Each time I take a step forward with my project, I have a golden opportunity to express my gifts and vote for myself with this decision….and to use every block that comes up as a gift to heal an unresolved issue inside of me and see who I am.
A video resource:
Here’s a simple process of forgiveness—it’s a great resource for you to use as you move ahead and find yourself stuck. The steps are: (1) breathe & come present; (2) center in your strength; (3) accept what is; and (4) practice Self-forgiveness.
I made a 3-minute video to walk you through them! To watch, click here:
Have a wonderful week!
Love, Debbie

Thank you, Trent! And thank you for your “Weekly Smile” prompt. As I said in my blog, it truly is a positive focus – and that’s so important! I may even build it into my action plan for expanding my coaching practice.

Thanks, Debbie. We all do need a bit more of a positive focus once in a while and if I can help someone find it, great 🙂

Isn’t it great, Anne? Love that each participant in the group gets to create an “Action Plan” for a project that’s heart-felt—and that my inner wisdom gave me a perfect project to do as preparation for coaching others through the process. What a gift!
Have a wonderful rest of your week. Loving you Anne.
