Today’s forgiving blog is on directing my thoughts to love.
I am aware how very often I think negative thoughts.
Is anyone with me on this one?
My spiritual teacher John-Roger says that emotion follows thought, and that when we have a thought and emotion that match, then we have a clear action. Well, if that’s true, I really want to think positively!
I’m game to test this out. One of my biggest, most recurring negative thoughts is that I’m letting God down, and I’m unlovable. I’m going to turn this around RIGHT NOW. God loves me, I am really amazing exactly as I am, and I am doing so great at learning how to forgive and be kind and caring (etc!).
Today is Day #2 of my 3-Day quote challenge, a blogger asked me to post quotes on love each day for 3 consecutive days. Here’s one of my quotes for today — an alternative version of the Serenity Prayer:
I forgive myself for judging myself for all the times I beat myself up. I forgive myself for judging myself as unloveable especially by God and ok fine, by myself. And I forgive myself for judging myself for not doing things perfectly. I let all of this go to Spirit so that I may step free. And I am grateful to be me. Period.
Let’s see if in the days ahead, my emotions and actions are more full of love, compassion, and forgiveness (and I’ll take a whole lot of fun too). Cool.
I’ll end tonight with a quote by John-Roger, which is the very first quote I saw when I opened to Facebook looking for that Serenity Prayer quote.
Boy sometimes the biggest things in life are just so simple.
I love you!! Please feel free to share with me how you’d like to create your own reality…so happy you are here.
