Today is Forgiving Fridays & an opp for you to post about forgiveness – ANY DAY this week! YAY! (See guidelines below ❤ ) It’s also my contribution to Frank of Dutch Goes the Photo’s Weekly Challenge, Travel. Frank, I am traveling both to new inner places (my heart!) and outer (the beach with someone I love). Thank you for helping me to know it.
Today’s Forgiving Fridays is the incredible results of forgiveness.
A dear friend shared with me yesterday that she used to not like forgiveness, because she didn’t know what was on the other side. Once she actually EXPERIENCED it, she got so much inner freedom that she wanted to do it regularly.
This really touched my heart, and it made me ask myself, “What do I get from forgiveness?”
Four bloggers shared last week on their experiences with forgiveness!!
Di of Matters for the Heart wrote a gorgeous post on being really kind to that little one within (including acceptance and loving).
Myonelife.today contributed an amazing question for us, “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life? “
Nikki of Flying Through Water gave us a penguin pointer (love them) on the inner value of flowing in new directions.
Etta of Simple Etta D. shared the great value of forgiving what was and living now.
Thank you all so much. ❤
When I asked myself what I get from forgiveness, the answer is love. A true, deep, open experience within of love. Does that sound cliché? OMG maybe it is!
One example of love for me is that I do these forgiving Fridays, and each week I share my heart with you. My love is on every word that I write. Opening my heart is a new experience in many ways, God how vulnerable it feels. Time for forgiving:
I forgive myself for judging myself for forgetting that true love is always safe.
I forgive myself for judging myself as unworthy of expressing the joy of love.
And I forgive myself for judging others as anything less than love.
The truth is that we are all manifestations of love. (I am pausing to breathe it in, please join me!)
****
My partner and I went to the beach this past weekend to create a fun banner for Forgiving Fridays. I took a selfie of myself doing this, and he took a photo of me doing a selfie! This is another example of love – the incredible joy of sharing it. I am so grateful to this man, and I dedicate today’s Forgiving Fridays to him.
I love you.
Love, Debbie
Here are the guidelines of #ForgivingFridays:
- Every day is Friday! Do a post today or anytime this week.
- Free free to be creative – there’s LOTS of space for your expression! Whatever inspire forgiving inside you.
- Tag your post with #ForgivingFridays (here’s a great WordPress article about tagging posts)
- Create a pingback link to this post. This way, I can create a post showing all of the submissions over the week.
- Have fun creating your own form of forgiving, of loving YOU!!
ps – Here’s a quote that for me inspires forgiveness …
The heart knows the truth, and it is through the heart
that we perceive Spirit. When the spiritual heart is open,
then the spiritual eye is opened. Then love flows back and forth,
and the Soul is awakened to its glory. You are in paradise even
though you live in this physical world.
The physical body will still express emotional and
mental qualities, but your energies, your direction,
and your upliftment come from the Soul.
And that, Beloved, is a beautiful place to live.
-John-Roger, Living Love from the Spiritual Heart
Do we always get love from forgiveness. I think you are right, but why is it so hard?

Oh Gbolabo. This is a wonderful question. Funny, because one of the forgiveness posts I shared from a fellow reader quoted a beautiful saying about living the question. Maybe that’s something we can both do, and touch in regarding what answers we get. 🙂 Feel free to be in touch anytime, either on my blog or via email weloveyou@forgivingconnects.com

I love your collection of posts, and not because mine is one of them. 🙂 I looked up all of the others and found all of them very worthwhile reading. Your Forgiving Fridays blog is a great way to connect likeminded bloggers who might not find each other otherwise. Have a wonderful day, Debbie, and keep on collecting (and forgiving).

Oh Di, you are such a blessing.
I don’t know if you’re aware of this, I do personal forgiveness coaching. I have some ideas for you and would be quite happy to offer you a complimentary session. This would entirely be my gift to you! There is so much about your sharing that is open and courageous, and I could see you getting great value from a talk together.
Is this something you’d like to do? If yes, let’s set it up! (And either way is totally fine with me.)
This session is completely my gift to you, Di, for all of the posts you’ve done and for the presence you bring to my blog personally and to all of us!
Blessings, Debbie

Dear Debbie,
That’s such a beautiful and kind offer…
I didn’t realise you did this coaching. I’d be so interested in meeting you but one of us will have to be up in the middle of the night due to time zone differences!
Yes, I have gained so much from reading other blogs and listening to podcasts so my intention has been to pay it forward.
Thank you again for the kind offer dear Debbie… so the really short answer is… yes! 🌈🦋💕

You said it, Kathy. Funny, I’m writing a speech for a possible TedX talk, and that’s one of the things I touched on – the potential of forgiveness to create a new way of being with one another.
Sending you so much loving, Debbie
