Hi everyone,
This forgiving journal is a little different.
I have been sitting in front of a statue of St. Francis for about an hour, trying to find the perfect quote on thanksgiving. Then, I realized that the greatest way I can share the words of St. Francis is to step forward, here and now, as a peacemaker.
The best way I know to do this right now is this.
I am sharing with you the start to my book. I wrote it some time ago, and then it has sat in my files.
So right now, with the love of my heart, here is what I wrote. More to come.
Today, I am counting my blessings by living them.
I love you all. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and if you’re not from the US, have a blessed day of thanks! 🙂
Love,
Debbie
This is a story about forgiveness.
What is this life about if not to learn how to love ourselves? And for me, that is what forgiveness is about. Learning to put love first, to love myself no matter what …. the rest comes directly out of that self-love.
My journey with forgiveness started at a really young age. I am telling you this, because a) it helps me to share about it; and b) I am hoping that my experience may help you in your own path of self-forgiveness, self-compassion, and self-loving, and perhaps offer you a solace to those parts inside looking for something different (to be something different).
The end for the moment. YES

This is my contribution for Frank’s photo challenge, fresh. It was to come up with an image that helps us with renewed energy and ready to take on the next challenge. I’m ready, Frank!

Beautiful photos! What better new beginning than thankfulness! I find it closes a door on the past and allow a new door to open for the future.
