Today’s Forgiving Fridays: Taking a Leap of Faith

Happy #ForgivingFridays everyone!   Join with fellow bloggers & post about forgiveness ANY DAY this week!  It can be a poem, short story, photograph, video, personal sharing , or  anything anything that opens you to forgive.  (See guidelines below ❤ )

***This post is my contribution for Dutch Goes the Photo’s Challenge, Music. Frank, I am preparing my solid foundation to take care of myself and SINGING my joy from the rooftops!  It’s also my contribution for The Daily Post, Commit.***

Today’s Forgiving Fridays is about taking a leap of faith.

I woke up at 4am this morning with these words going through my head “There is no such thing as right and wrong, only our thinking that makes it so.”

My thinking lately is negative.  I have a belief that I’m not equipped as a coach.  That I can’t eat more even though I said I want to gain weight.

With the eating, I’m trying to distract myself from playing full out.  (If I just focus on food, I won’t need to live my dreams)

One of my steps today is a forgiving journal where I’m going to write my food and do forgiveness each day.  Here’s part of a love letter I wrote to myself on the inside cover:  (See my video below too!)

Dear Debbie:

I love my body.

I am taking care of my body with healthy and nurturing food each day.

I am enjoying life!  And that includes giving myself the nourishment I need to be FULLY PRESENT.

I am eating to live, now and in the days ahead.  Yippee!!

I forgive myself for judging myself for buying into the belief that I’m not equipped as a coach.  I forgive myself for judging myself for not eating more.

It’s time to create a new vision for Debbie – based on singing my song from the rooftops!!

I’m creating a big poster board for my dreams.  Here’s my first entry!

I’d love your suggestions for what else I can do!

ps – Here’s a video I did early this morning with my commitments to REALLY taking care of my body!

Here are the guidelines of #ForgivingFridays:

  • Every day is Friday!  Do a post today or anytime this week.
  • Free free to be creative – there’s LOTS of space for your expression! Whatever inspire forgiving inside you.
  • Tag your post with #ForgivingFridays (here’s a great WordPress article about tagging posts)
  • Create a pingback link to this post. This way, I can create a post showing all of the submissions over the week.
  • Have fun creating your own form of forgiving, of loving YOU!!

  1. Towards forgiving, I accept myself those times I am judgmental and look to find the funny side – I do not know enough to judge, so who do I think I am to be taking myself so seriously! God loves me, how can I do less?
    With joyous Friday giggles…… xx

  2. Hi Debbie, we are always hardest on ourselves and forgive others so much easier. I’m not sure why we are like that but you are truly learning from your journal about yourself. Good luck with your coaching and YOU CAN DO ANYTHING if you just have faith. With love and blessings, Mary

    1. Oh Mary, thank you for this inspiring comment. You touched my heart with your caring. The way I experience it, the true forgiveness starts inside … that is the key to the kingdom.

I’m doing well with my journal ❤ and believing in myself every step of the way, moment by moment. Loving to you Mary. Have a beautiful week – Debbie

  3. I don’t think there’s really anything more anyone can suggest to you Debbie, the ball is really in your court as they say. Only suggestion I can give is once you’ve made up your mind about change, stick with it. Journal about your intentions, go over it daily and never lose sight of what you want your end results to be. But above all never lost faith in yourself.

    1. Got it, Etta D. What I’m getting from this is to take my steps … just to take them with intention and commitment and show up for myself. For-giving starts with giving ourselves love and attention, right? ❤ I love what you wrote about believing in yourself – like your amazing post to contribute to this week's Forgiving Fridays. Sending you peace, my friend. ~Debbie

      1. You’ve got it Debbie! No one can take those steps for you and you have to trust the ground you’re walking on so to speak (believe in yourself) 😉 Have an awesome week 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Stella. I do believe and it really helps to have you remind me of that. It’s like a positive, bright affirmation. I’ll keep going and allow that love and forgiveness – and joy – to pull me forward. God bless you too. 🙂

And thanks for your amazing contribution. Just went over for a visit. Very good read full of wisdom.

  4. Dear Debbie, love your posts and videos always. You are so honest. I think your food journal is great. I journal especially on gratitude, and affirmations so i dont get the down and out feeling. I also journal all the pain out and cut that paper up and move onto something positive to get myself out of whatever.

There are times that i am moody and have no reason to be (rare, but they do happen)..and i know that i need to take my vitamins. being a vegetarian i need some vits but..i get lazy.. anyways. Those are my fix me uppers.. 😆

    1. Hi Bella, this is so smart! Gratitude is powerful and such a vehicle to experience divine love. Funny, I was running yesterday and a little concerned about my foot. Each time I did statements of gratitude, my foot felt wonderful! 🙂

Taking your vitamins is a gorgeous way of caring for yourself. I just did this myself. Love you Bella. Debbie

  5. Hello lovely Debbie,
Another beautiful and honest post from you. I’m not sure what to say about your journey with your food journal but I sincerely hope you are making peace with yourself and your attitude towards your physical body as you say. I also have issues accepting my physical body so I can totally relate. I’m working on them and I can contribute to your forgiving Friday by stating that I forgive myself for believing the stories I was told as a little girl about my appearance. I’m working on loving the way I am created and it’s a daily effort.
I love your vision board… it will make a lovely difference.

Sending hugs and love to you Debbie 💐💕

Sending you love and blessings for just forgiving those judgments about your body and what you heard when you were younger, and updating those limiting beliefs into something that truly serves you better. You are so courageous, Di! I am honored to know and witness your awareness. Bless you! I have learned a lot from you. Thank you. Love, Debbie

  6. Debbie, what a force of love you are in your modeling of forgiveness.
Today I forgive myself for not believing in myself. I forgive myself for not making my health a priority.
Sending you love. Keep being the amazing you that you are.

    1. God Ali, that is beautiful.
You could even consider forgiving yourself for judging yourself for not making your health a priority — it’s the judgment that’s the issue, not the behavior. Does that make sense? It’s quite a compassionate way of being. Sending you love, Ali!! LOVE your forgiveness ❤ Debbie

  7. Oh yes, I understand the misery of judgement. That is why self forgiveness is so powerful. I forgive myself and start again. It is part of being a human. Thanks for the love. Keep on sharing.

    1. Thank you so much, Andrea. Your comments and encouragement mean a lot to me.
When you wrote “courage”, it reminds me how that word is energy of the heart (or something similar). 🙂
Many blessings — good to hear from you!! Debbie

    1. I love you Kathy!!! You know, I got inspired to do an online class on self-forgiveness and the body, where it’s women really coming into gratitude for their body in a beautiful circle of affirmation and love. YOU just inspired me to go for it! Loving you. Be blessed. ~Debbie

  8. One suggestion. You are made up of trillions of cells all depending on you to do the right thing – be it nourishing food, emotions and thoughts. If you think of just one of those cells, and do the very best that you can for it. So instead of focusing on nourishing YOU, think of nourishing that cell. For some reason it’s so much easier to take care of others (and forgive them), but find it hard to do the same for ourselves. By giving that cell all your love, you are indirectly nourishing yourself. And sing your wonderful song from the roof tops, Debbie 🙂 xx
