Today’s Forgiving Fridays: I’m moving and HAPPINESS!

Happy #ForgivingFridays everyone! Yay! This is an opportunity for you to let go and forgive.  You can do your post ANY DAY this week! Anything that inspires YOU to forgive and choose love – even if you’re struggling.  e.g., write a poem, share a quote or video, do an act of kindness, forgive yourself or someone else. 🙂 I look forward to see what you do!

Today’s Forgiving Fridays is I’m moving and happiness!

This week, I gave notice at my place – I’m going to be moving!  For the third time in a two year period.

This is such good news.  I’m expanding into something new and different – and I’m not even sure what that is, except that I’m saying YES to my heart.  I may be moving in with David, I may move into a bigger apartment where I can have more space & really do my coaching in a bigger way.  Or maybe I’ll even be moving to another location outside of L.A.

Here’s the thing.  I woke up this morning with a clear commitment to being happy as I make this change.  And I heard inside, “write about four segments of happiness”.  I can use these every step of the way – I’m ready!

Here we go:

Ideal Scenes: these are a way to go for what we want.  On the paper is a heart that says “I Am”.  I’ll then make spokes & write statements on them of me living into my Ideal Scene.  So for example, “I am making delicious, healthy meals in my modern, spacious kitchen for me and David and having such fun doing it.”  I’m going to create one this weekend!

Self-Care: this is essential.  As we go for what we want, it is so important to balance doing acts to take care of ourselves with taking action out in the world.  Our health and happiness is key and a solid foundation for all else. As I do all that goes with moving, I am committed to putting myself first.

Forgiveness: What?  🙂  Seriously, this is a way for me to invite Spirit into what I’m doing.  Judgments are likely to come forward as we take positive action in our lives.  This may be judging ourselves for how we’re taking action, or old blocks may resurface for healing such as “I’m not worthy of good things.”  Self-forgiveness is the greatest key that I know to letting go, giving myself loving, and opening to Spirit to get free!

Inner Guidance: OK, so the fourth segment to expanding into happiness is – me!  I have everything that I need inside of me to choose happiness and make positive decisions.  And wherever I go, there I am!  And I am wonderful. All aspects of this move are in service to my awakening into greater awareness of myself as love.

Well, everyone, there you have it!  I even made a video this morning to illustrate:

What I know is that I can choose happiness inside and have four great tools to do that, and that I am ever so worthy of co-creating a beautiful home in a fantastic location – and that they are waiting for me with open arms!  Please send love my way ok? ❤

I am SO SO grateful for all of you who contribute to Forgiving Fridays.  I learn so much from you!  Here are this week’s contributions:

Etta of Simply Etta D. gave us wonderful keys on how to work as a team, especially when a team member acts in a “non-team like” manner. 🙂 Including 4 great benefits of teamwork – like creativity!

DeB of Roaming Urban Gypsy contributed her new acrylic painting, An Acquired Taste.  It’s a BEAUTIFUL depiction of how it’s ok to struggle … and take our time accepting things. Thank you, DeB!

Nikki of A Kinder Way asks a simple question for us to pause and accept what’s going on inside of us when we’re upset – and to open to what really matters. What an incredible, easy tool to forgive!

Frank of Poetry, Short Prose and Walking wrote a poem on the transformative power of forgiveness for us to experience the beauty of life.  A heart-warming gift for blessing our humanity!

Ali of Flashlight Batteries gave us a poem on Self-forgiveness, asking whether we can indeed have compassion for ourselves.  Just her inquiry opened my heart to such self-beauty!

Pragalbha of Infinite Living shared an inquiry on trust, simply allowing herself to be and learn what her knowing has for her. An exquisite contribution on letting go!

And in case you missed it…

Revived Writer contributed a poem that illustrates the freedom of forgiveness in such a unique way!  There is such great love in her post – I almost cried!

I’d like to end with a quote from a book, Forgiveness: The Key to the Kingdom by John-Roger, DSS.  This book is a compilation of reflections on forgiveness, and I often turn to a page and read what’s there as a message of Love:  (with a photo illustration by David Sand)

“When we have really forgiven somebody, we enter into original innocence. And that original innocence is like new snow. It’s like fresh rain that clears the air.

It’s anything where you just go, “Wow.” I guess it’s every sunset I’ve ever seen….They’re all new.”

I love you.

Love,

Debbie

**This is my contribution to Frank’s photo challenge, Play. Frank, I am committed to having a heck of a lot of happiness as I move into my new location.  It’s a great choice, and you helped me make it – thank you!**

  3. Debbie, congratulations of your move! How exciting that you are listening to your heart and creating a life of happiness! I am going to try this four segments of happiness myself, for my summer has been ridden with jealousy ( quite unfounded and all my doing), low self esteem and anxiety. I’m going into counseling next week and hope to move through this. In the meantime I”ll try your method and keep praying for peace. Thank you. Bless you.

Isn’t that quote on innocence great? John-Roger’s Forgiveness book is full of wisdom – and that quote was perfect for this post of new beginnings!

  5. Synchronicity abounds… My blog post this week contains a picture of one of my favourite quote boards that hangs on the wall in my Brilliance Within Hut (where I work in the garden…): “Let your heart guide you… It whispers, so listen closely!” You’re such an inspiration Debbie and I wish you EVERY HAPPINESS… wherever your new path leads! xx

    1. Thanks Kimberlee! YES, isn’t a Self-care reminder so important? My spiritual mentor has a guideline, ‘Take care of yourself so you can help take care of others.” That’s been a consistent learning for me to do in my life. It’s a blessing to really get it — nurturing and self-kindness are so essential 🙂 🙂

Have a beautiful week, Kimberlee. So glad you’re here.
      Love,
      Debbie

    1. Ron, thank you! I’m touched that you came to visit my blog. Surrender is a key lesson for me in my life, as is showing up to do the little acts of leaning into what my love is calling me to. If that makes sense. 🙂

Have a blessed week! Your blog is great.

  7. I just watched your video 3x. It was like a breath of fresh air, I love, love your points. Especially the ideal scenes and self-care, both of which I’ve really fallen off on as I haven’t done anything towards self-care for so long it’s really wearing on my soul now. Thank you for the reminder that I come first, we’re often so caught up in taking care of everyone else we really don’t take care of ourselves….All the best on your move, whichever deciding you make I know it will be a better one for you. Love and light to you Debbie! xx ❤ ❤

    1. Oh Etta, thank you! I so hear you. Glad that you watched the video 3 x and I hope that you did some self-care this week? ❤ 🙂 Feel free to email me Ideal Scenes and self care that you do – and maybe you can post your discovery with this (even if it's learning from NOT doing it) for #ForgivingFridays! That would be supportive for so many people, I bet. I know you have it in you Etta. I see your Soul. And I love you exactly as you are! Love, Debbie
