Today’s Forgiving Fridays: You Are Beautiful

Happy #ForgivingFridays everyone! Yay! This is an opportunity for you to share about forgiveness & post about it ANY DAY this week! See guidelines below. ❤ You can post a poem, a quote, or a photo (or even a travel blog like one of this week’s contributors), or you can write about an affirmation like I did. Whatever inspires YOU to forgive and see your own beauty.

***This post is my contribution for The Daily Post’s Inhabit and Frank’s Challenge, Pink. Frank, I used a few photos – a great affirmation plus the sunrise from my blog “office”!  🙂 ***

Today’s Forgiving Fridays is You Are Beautiful.

The thing I really want to share with you today is a tool that I use to help me forgive.  I do things to remind myself that I am beautiful.

I have a little pink sign on my bathroom mirror that says “I am beautiful”. It is an affirmation to remind myself that I am love.

My friend gave that pink sign to me.  I got upset last night that I wasn’t treating her as well as I think I should.

Forgiveness is also one of the ways I remind myself that I am beautiful.

I forgive myself for judging myself as anything less than beautiful.

I forgive myself for judging myself as wrong for how I treated my friend.

Whether or not I could have treated her “better” is secondary.  The issue is that I judge myself as wrong for how I treated her… as anything less than beautiful.

The great thing about forgiveness is that I remind myself that I am love.  From that place of beauty inside of me, I can see more clearly how I acted and whether I want to do it different. And that it is all a manifestation of love.

That is such a nurturing & peaceful way to live!  Each time that I affirm my own beauty, I see that beauty inside of me and all around me.

That’s what I’ve got for today.  I invite each of us to pause right now and just say, “I am beautiful.”   Because that is the truth. ❤

I am grateful for all of you who contribute to Forgiving Fridays.  I learn so much from you!  Here are this week’s contributions:

DeBorah of Roaming Urban Gypsy gave us a gorgeous photo of a butterfly on a flower that helped her to get personal with forgiveness.

Etta of  Simply Etta D. shared how to be the change we wish to see in others – what a powerful reference for owning our beauty!

Lorelle of A Mindful Traveller wrote a travel journal about her trip to Lourdes and her experience of peacefulness and inner connection at this sacred space.

Pragalbha of Infinite Living contributed a wonderful poem on the power of her own gratitude to experience Oneness.

Emily of Zombie Flamingos saw baby peacocks on her forgiveness walk and they helped her to focus on happiness instead of upset – a great example of forgiveness.

Stella of Giggles & Tales  shared such a beautiful blog on bringing peace into the world in the little daily connections we have.

And in case you missed it from last week ❤ :

Di of Matters For The Heart gifted us with a heartfelt sharing on loving and accepting ourselves – I learned a lot!

Since coming back from my retreat, I’ve been writing so much poetry.  I wrote a two-part one on peace.  Peace helps me to open to the forgiveness in me and all around me. See below – and please feel free to share your creativity too!

I love you.

Love, Debbie

    1. Thank you! Love your mindfulness with the peace poem here. I hadn’t seen the slowing down aspect before you. That is really beautiful, Andrea.

Your blog on peace is fantastic. I am so glad that you shared it here & invite other readers to check it out. It’s about the breath and how taking a breath – really pausing to take a breath – can open us to great peace, and love.

Have a great week, Andrea. If you’re teaching this week, I hope it is inspired by the grace you bring to your blogging family. 🙂 Blessings, Debbie

    1. Thank you ever so much, Rhonda! I feel your support in your words (how do you do that?)
I decided to take one step at a time and allow God to guide me in perfect timing…. funny, because I have a bracelet on as I’m typing, it’s all about being divinely protected in God’s love.

I’m excited to see how it all unfolds. More to come. Have a great day, Rhonda, and thanks again. Hugs and blessings xo Debbie

  3. Happy Weekend everyone. I’m eternally grateful to Debbie for allowing to contribute to Forgiving Fridays, the past month has been crazy but this post today really lit a fire inside. I had to affirm my beauty today while looking in the mirror of the ladies fitting room. Thank you for the continuous support and encouragement.

    1. Aww Wendy, thank you! The key for me is forgiving myself for judging …. I’m the one who made a choice to judge, and I can set myself free through love and the help of Spirit. Such a great way to take personal responsibility and expand into greater compassion and authentic empowerment!

I just commented on one of your posts. If you’re up for it, I’d love for you to contribute to Forgiving Fridays too. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Many blessings, and love to you and your grandchildren, Wendy.
