Today’s Forgiving Journal: Mom, this one is for you

Today’s forgiving journal is Mom, this one is for you.

I realized as I was walking home that I missed my mom.  She gave me such love and acceptance.

I am aware of the opportunity that I have to be my own mother, like that Beatles song says, “When I find yourself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be.”

Mom, this one is for you:

I forgive myself for judging myself for denying my greatness.  The truth is: I am love.

I forgive myself for judging myself as unworthy of expressing my love. The truth is: I am joy.

I forgive myself for forgetting that I am divine.  The truth is: I am choosing life.

***

Thank you so much for listening.

I love you.

Love,

Debbie

ps – this is my contribution to Frank’s Photo Challenge, Falling Water.  Frank, this one was a surprise – I was planning on writing a different post. 🙂  I guess my heart spoke.

Mom This One is For You May 14 2017

Mother. Mary. Don’t

please don’t

Go. Oh, Beloved, I

am for-give

inside of You.

With a capital

Y. Because, Why?

You ask? It is

not me that you seek,

over and over,

instead You seek

The You that you

(small because it is

not

the forgiving one that

seeks.)

end with. The truth,

It is the truth,

is that Love

Love + Love, it, all

Let it Be, Beloved

One. A kiss on

Your head it

shows you.

Love is the

Answer to all

Listen, to the whisper.

  3. It’s so great that you opened up about this! Mother-daughter relationships can be difficult, but I think it’s great that you forgave her yesterday/today! I think the last picture you added with Snoopy is so meaningful. At first, I laughed about it but than I realized that it’s actually super true and that we don’t have to forget that! Wish you a wonderful week Debbie, sending you love from The Netherlands, Anne ♥

  4. Oh Debbie, your post really spoke to me. I miss my own dear Mum too. She was one of my best friends, and my greatest support (and greatest critic at times – ha ha!) and never a day goes by that I don’t think of her. It’s true that when we lose that special presence in our lives, we need to fill the gap left by them and become mothers to ourselves. In essence we need to nurture ourselves / our inner child. We all need that particular love in our life. Special blessings this week as we pay homage to our mothers. 🙂 xx

My mom used to say, You made my day. 😊 Thanks for helping me remember that.
