Today’s forgiving journal: Being in love with myself

Today’s forgiving journal is about being in love with myself.

I am learning to really love myself.

This is something I never truly thought I could do.  No matter what I did, I kept a part of my heart closed off to myself.

No more.  I may have small blips on the map, and I quickly come back to loving me.

How did I get there?  Self-trust is a huge key.

I’m doing the things I know to do to take care of myself, like self-forgiveness, taking care of myself and appreciating myself.  Again and again and again.  It’s the daily practice of love that does it.  It’s like a steel foundation o’ love and trust for me to stand on.

Time for forgiving:

1 – I forgiving myself for judging myself for worrying, period.  I forgiving myself for judging myself for separating myself from my own loving.

2 – I let all this go into a big bowl of joy!!  It’s sparkly, and pink, and full of laughter and comfy blankets.  (they make me feel really good).

3 – I am grateful for my clear commitment to self-care, to self-trust, and to self-love.  All is well.

This blog took a long time to start.  And once I started, it took about 5 minutes to write.

What I am most present to right now is how I am staying with loving with myself, and it’s a one step at a time process.  I don’t always know what each step looks like. And I am with myself every, every, every, every step of the way.

I love you.  Thank you for being with me on this journey.

Love,

Debbie

Ps – if you’d like more on self-trust, here’s a video I just did on the very topic!  ❤

  1. Trust; that’s where you began in this excellent post, and it’s the bridge to ‘start’. You can’t move forward until you trust yourself. The first step is always the hardest, and trust is where it begins. -Jennie-

  2. Debbie, you’re on the right path and an inspiration to others (especially me!). I discovered a few months ago that I spend so much time loving others that I have forgotten about me. As you said, it’s a work in progress.

  3. Thank you so much for sharing these steps Debbie, I wrote them on my agenda and I want to do my best to follow these steps every day, I really need it in this period where I’m full of thought and stuff to do: my time of the day dedicated to my self and on how I feel! Thank you Debbie!

    1. Oh Lisa, you got it! I’m so happy to hear that they are valuable for you. I have a reminder on my bathroom mirror about self-trust. I just reminded myself of it today. Many, many blessings to you. Take good care of yourself. ❤
