Today’s forgiving journal: The Sacred Space of Forgiveness

Today’s forgiving journal is about the sacred space of forgiveness.

I went to a beautiful church today in Manhattan, called St. John the Divine.  It is truly stunning, and I felt like I was walking in a sacred space when I entered.

There was a pamphlet at the front that had information about St. John’s.  I loved what it said so much that I took a close up of it, highlighting the very first line.

It says, “The idea of welcome is the foundation of the sacred space in which you stand.”

This is what the act of forgiving is for me.  I am welcoming the parts of myself back home into my heart, the sacred sanctuary for me to ….  Well I don’t quite have the words to describe it.  That’s ok.

Time for forgiving:The Sacred Space of Forgiveness St Johns Aug 7 2016

1 – Self-forgiveness: I forgive myself for judging myself for turning away from myself.

2 – Letting go: I let go of all unsafe spaces inside of me directly back to the heart of Spirit.  I am home.

3 – Gratitude: I am so grateful for my breath, it helps me anchor the forgiving and relax.

Frank at Dutchgoesthephoto had a photo challenge this week with the focus of “close up”.  Little did I know what my close up would be.

I also took a picture of a photo I have in my home of me as a little baby.  When I forgive, I am taking care of that little one inside, so that she may know how much I love her.  Thanks to her.

I love you!

Love and Light,

Debbie

    1. Chez Shea, thanks so much! I love that photo. I had it in a spot at one time where I had the words “Rest in grace” painted right below. 🙂 Welcoming is such a blessing, isn’t it? So good to connect. Have a wonderful rest of your week.
