Today’s forgiving journal is a loving invitation.
For months now, I’ve been blogging about my experience with forgiveness. It has been profound for me, both in terms of my own inner growth and also the connections I’ve made with the people who read what I write.
I’m feeling an ever expansive calling to open up my blogging to other people who’d like to share their story on forgiveness. Would that be you?
SO, I’ve come up with a few questions. Please feel free to answer one or more of them. You can email me this at weloveyou@forgivingconnects.com. If you’d prefer another way to communicate, please just let me know!
Questions:
*What is forgiving to you?
*What helps you to forgive?
*Do you have a story about forgiveness that you’d like to share? Please do!
*What can you start doing right now to help you forgive?
Thank you so much. Sharing my heart, my humanity, my vulnerability with you over these last months is a great blessing to me. I look forward to continuing to do so, and to hearing about your journey with forgiving, with love.
I love you.
Love,
Debbie
This is a very interesting request. I had some things come to mind immediately…just not sure I’d want them to be public. 😉 I will think on this though Debbie. ❤

OK sounds good! If it feels better to you, we could consider it being an anonymous contribution. Think on it, Nikki, and let me know if / what you are comfortable sharing. Much loving to you. ❤

I really will. It might be good to write it all out. Anonymous might make it better. xo

This is wonderful. I’ve been thinking about it and I can’t remember forgiving anyone. That sounds horrible and I’m a little upset about it, but I tend to retreat from a friendship/relationship when someone wrongs me. I’ve never really thought about it before. Huh.

Of course you can, Meg! I’m still on my journey too 🙂 I do forgiveness every day. It’s a living practice. I’d love to hear anything you have to share – just where you are right now with it all is truly a gift. Anyway, feel free to email me if you want to. Blessings, Meg.

I’m not that great when it comes to telling my story & I haven’t understood the meaning of forgiveness yet,I don’t think am the correct person to write about that 😞

Hi Debbie– love your questions– I am able to forgive (not always easily!) only because of the forgiveness God has extended toward me. I forgive out of gratitude… Such an important thing to talk about… thank you. xo

Oh Rhonda, this is beautiful. I’m going to save this & share it. (Happy to do it as an anonymous share, unless you are ok that I say your name too.) Thank you for being here. Your presence opens me to more gratitude.
Blessings,
Debbie

Hello. I have been reading your blog for a while and I appreciate your thought provoking post. Forgiveness isn’t easy to do especially when there has been some form of betrayal. I have experienced a lot in my life as it relates to forgiveness. I forgive from a far. I pray I get better with forgiveness with time.

Hi KeeKee (is that ok to call you KeeKee?), I am so glad that you shared. I appreciate your experience with forgiveness, and honor it greatly. Each of us seems to have our own path to forgiving, to compassion, to freedom … I just am glad that you are here reading this blog & blessing it with your presence. ❤

Hello Debbie,
I define forgiveness as the act of releasing my self from the prison of hurt and consious decision to let go of everything and everyone that has made me not feel good . Of course with the grace that can only but come from God.
I have gone through certain things in life that I consiously subscribed to God to let me forgive and be free.
